My family headed to Cambodia just 5days before the school resumed for 2 days. It was really early morning when we started to airport. When we arrived in KLIA(Kuala Lumpur International Airport), there were no planes that can take us there, so we took the plane that goes to Cambodia in Air Asia. It took about 2 hours to Cambodia from Malaysia. When my family made it to there, the fresh air of Cambodia welcomed me and that was how my holiday has started.
The guide and the driver was waiting for us to start the tour. Because it only took 2 hours, it was still afternoon. In the car, the guide informed my family about Siem Reap(A capital city in Cambodia) and the history of Cambodia. We first went to killing field, which is the place where the bones from dead people that are died in the war. They made a killing field thanking for the sacrifice. Then the guide told us to have some free time as it was the first day. At early-night, we went to the market at bought some souveniers.
The next day, we woke up early in the morning, which was the last day of the tour. This day was the climax of the tour because the family actually have gone there for this place, which is the Ankor Wart and Ankor Thom. There was a Cambodia king, wanted to make a palace. He believed in Buddhism, so he commanded the sculptures to make a palace by putting big stones together and sculpt them as a palace. He also wanted the wall to be about the history about the Buddhism. The back of the Ankor Wart, was Ankor Thom. It had many towers and each towers had 4 faces facing east, west, south and north. Each faces meant different things and the it all had different facial expression. The few towers were destroyed mostly by the trees. Those trees were about thousand years old. All of my family liked the tour, exept that we had to walk really much. (Actually mom and dad say that it doesn't really hurt much because the sculptures are paying their attention to itself but not to thier legs)
By this tour, I learned that the Cambodia had a beautiful treasure of its own and also that the Ankor Wart and Ankor Thom was actually made and sculpted by human-beings. It was really exciting, interesting and fascinating. I would suggest everyone to go thier for at least once because it was such a great experience for me too.
My resolutions are,,,
1. Study harder than before
2. Make many friends as possible (There are some new students came to ISKL)
3. Try to become taller than Alex (He is my friend who is really tall)
