THE EMPTY CHAIR IS ONLY LEFT



Liu Xiaobo, a Chinese poet and dissident, was arrested just because he was trying to stand up against the Chinese government. He had signed the 'Charter 08', with the hope of having the Chinese government follow the human rights and give freedom. He even received a Nobel Peace Prize, but on the day of celebration, Chinese government blocked all the people from leaving China, and Liu Xiaobo was in jail, and only the empty chair and the medal was left. I believe that Liu Xiaobo is a real hero. He tried everything he could, to achieve his goal. His spirit to fix the wrong of his country, his bravery to stand up, and the power to really fix it. They are all hard to be achieved, but Liu Xiaobo had done it. The best of all, he didn't use any violence.He was not afraid that he might lose against the government and overcome the fear of the consequence of his action. Probably, many other people would have thought about standing up and wanting to fix the government and achieve peace and freedom. But, there might be numerous people who couldn't do that because they just didn't have the courage. I think this story has a similar connection with
